OFFICIAL RULES - 2024
The $10,000 Duck Derby is presented by Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary Club (“Presenter”), a 501(c)4 organization, Tax ID #23-7332939, and a registered State of Alaska Gaming Permit Holder (permit #135). Net proceeds of this event will benefit the Juneau community through scholarship opportunities for youth, club-identified community needs, and improvements to Riverside Rotary Park.
RULES
In order to be eligible for the prizes, entrants must be of legal purchasing age and not present in an area that has adopted a local option prohibiting charitable gaming. The completed entry portion of each Rescue Form (paper or online entry form) and full payment must be received by an authorized representative of Presenter by 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of entries to an authorized representative of the $10,000 Duck Derby.
Numbered ducks will be dropped into Twin Lakes on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at approximately 2:00 pm. Ducks will be allowed to “swim” freely for a minimum of 30 minutes before winning ducks will be rescued from the water by an authorized representative of Presenter. Please check www.JuneauDuckDerby.com or our Facebook page for event information.
When the Rescue Form information is entered into the rescue database, the Rescue Form number is linked to the appropriate number of individual ducks purchased on each form. When a winning duck is rescued from the water, the rescue database links the physical duck number to the purchaser’s Rescue Form.
Winning ducks will be rescued until all prizes are assigned. Chances of winning a prize depend on the total number of qualified entries and number of prizes to award. No more than 6,500 entries will be sold.
An authorized representative of Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary Club will rescue ten (10) ducks from the water and award the prizes IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER: 10th place $125 • 9th place $125 • 8th place $250 • 7th place $250 • 6th place $250 • 5th place $500 • 4th place $1,000 • 3rd place $1,500 • 2nd place $1,000 & (2) Round-trip Tickets with Alaska Airlines • 1st place GRAND PRIZE $5,000.
